The arrow on the left indicates the front panel supplied with the optical drive. If you find it different from the original panel after installation, you can remove the panel and replace it with any original panel from your laptop. The slot is compatible with original panels from all laptops.
The arrow on the right indicates the thickness of the optical drive. Laptop optical drives come in two thicknesses: 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm. The default thickness shipped is 12.7 mm. If you require a 9.5 mm thick drive, please specify this in the notes. If you are unsure of the thickness, please include your laptop model in the notes.
